| Following are a few things that you need to accomplish to help in the finishing of your quilt: |

Please make backing fabric 4” larger on all sides than the quilt top. |

Please press top and backing. |
 |
If your backing is pieced, please trim the selvages. They will not stretch as much as the rest of your fabric and could distort the piece. |

Properly applied borders are essential for a square, flat quilt. Please reference my website for instructions on applying borders correctly. |
 |
Please trim all loose threads. These threads will show through to the top and look like “varicous veins” after quilting. |
 |
